Every year the AHS band program provides approximately two hundred and fifty young people between the ages of 14 and 18 with music and performing arts skills. The experiences are as varied as participating in the Eagle Marching Band, performing in one of four concert bands, learning choreography and equipment-spinning through the Color Guard and Winter Guard program, experiencing the sounds of world music through Eagle Steel, learning improvisation and jazz styles in the Eagle Jazz Band, and participating in UIL Solo and Ensemble Contests, TMEA All-Region Band and Orchestra Ensembles.
