UIL CONCERT/SIGHT-READING CONTEST INFORMATION
This UIL event is held every April. It is a chance for bands to
demonstrate their abilities on the concert stage with 3 prepared pieces and one
piece which is performed with no prior rehearsals (sight-reading).
Spectators are welcome in both the concert performance (in the auditorium) and the sight-reading room, but since these are judged performances all spectators must be absolutely quiet.
This year the contest is Thursday April 6, 2006, hosted by Cooper High School. Symphonic Band performs at 2:30pm and Honor Band performs at 5:30pm.
